pigMan, I haven’t kept up with Mike Posner really in the last few years, and I’m regretting that decision after hearing Lucas Lowe’s remix of “Buried In Detroit.” I really dig this song, for multiple reasons. As a lot of you are too, I am very loyal to my city. Milwaukee is my home. It’s cool to see Mike making a track dedicated to his hometown, and a catchy one at that. One of the other things I dig about this track is Big Sean‘s feature. Mike Posner and Big Sean are both Detroit natives, so it’s really awesome to see them team up.

One of the key parts of making music is playing off of nostalgia. Once you can make people relate your music to their own lives, you have a successful piece. I love to imagine past summers, sitting at the beach at sunrise, and had this track been out, I would have been bumping it so hard. Anyway, check it out!
