Whether you fuck with Rhymesayers and their deep stable of artists or not, the kinetic movement and endless contributions they have made to modern hip-hop is undeniable for anyone that studies the game. Factor in the come up happening in one of the more unsuspecting regions, and it furthers the two decade narrative. I have traveled to the Twin Cities and witnessed it personally. It is unique and genuine, built at a slow pace to ensure a strong foundation. I am not sure exactly what these A Moment in Rhymesayers episodes aim to explore, but the trailer alone is dope and has me stoked to see if they can articulate the history and impact from an audio/visual perspective. We don’t have to wait long either. The first episode drops tomorrow, so stay tuned for us serving that up when it hits in celebration of the labels 20th anniversary.
