After a three-year hiatus, tsubi club is back and better than ever, proving they can take the reign and keep fans happy. Previously working with Aries, tsubi club has been teasing his most recent, “laced up,” for over a year, and then it seemed like he vanished off the face of the earth. It should be a surprise to some, as “laced up” is only his second release, yet he is creating quality music and sounds that are ground-breaking.
The music video, co-directed by tsubi club himself along with Chris Rey Basalo and Stu Robinson, is a work of art that shouldn’t be overlooked. The quality of the music video is similar to that which you’d see in a movie, displaying cinematic scenes accompanied by stunning CGI effects, contributing to a unique aesthetic that only tsubi club can pull off. Starring in what seems to the wild west and mainly taking place on a beach, I’ve learned that this video picks up where “burbank house” left off, creating a video that leaves the audience ready for the next frame.
I am overly impressed by tsubi clubs work by doing an excellent job of complementing the song with visuals that are to be watched repeatedly. The only issue I see at hand is that his fanbase is potentially waiting another three years for a release, which is heartbreaking in itself. I hope we can expect a project or at least a few more singles to cap off the year from tsubi club.
