Olawumi is a favorite of ours here at DC, and her newest single “Places” is a prime example as to why. It’s produced by Nova, with whom Olawumi has made some magic with before. Her singing meshes with his production style so well, and that rings true on this new joint. It’s the latest installment of her series #thefeels, which began with another Nova-produced jam, titled “Understand.” After now hearing parts one and two, it’s clear she’s glo’d up and is ready to make statements come 2016.
