Back in 2019, Baby Qah was a part of a crop of rappers including Lil Buckss, 100Deek, and 1Meree, among many others, who began to bubble and put Philly Drill on the map. Tracks like “The Mix Up” and “Back Active” baked Qah into the local consciousness.
However, recently Qah has completely revamped his sound and I think if he continues to stick with it that he’ll gain the same momentum he’s had in the past. His performance on “Diamonds” with Pounside Pop sees him diving into a dark, eerie sound with spacey production from Nnovad.
Poundside and Qah work well together alongside Makeshift Productions‘ Embrace the Strange and Visuals By Luke to create a world around the song and the sound where danger lurks at every corner. Check out “Diamonds” below.
