I’m personally a huge fan of music videos so when an artist decides to drop one, I get excited to see the music brought to life. Philly artist Ot7QUANNY has been making some serious buzz for himself in the music scene, garnering millions of plays on SoundCloud alone with leaks as well as released music.
Ot7Quanny most recently dropped off a music video for his single “New Money”, directed and shot by Ish Production and featuring GT. What really stood out to me right off the bat is the high-quality camera work, transitioning from scenes such as the streets to the studio. The infectious production, thanks to PYRO-Z5, really helps make this track stand out and leaves room for both Quanny and GT to lay their vocals out flawlessly.
It’s no doubt that Philly rap has been on an upward trend these last couple of years thanks to artists such as Meek Mill, Schoolly D, and many others. It’s been one of my favorite genres to watch take place as it always leaves room for the artists to be as creative as possible and talk about real life.
