Last week, the world mourned the loss of the cultural icon and founder of Playboy Magazine, Hugh Heffner. Many rappers including Playboi Carti took to social media to pay their respects to the legend of Heffner, and voice how he may have influenced their career in any way. Yesterday, Carti pushed the envelope and actually previewed a song on Twitter in a 39-second clip, “a tribute to the original playboy – art dealer x Hugh Hefner prod . Playboi Carti.”
The clip show spliced images of Carti and Heffner as well as many of the girls Playboy featured decades ago. Carti and Lil Uzi Vert can both be heard speaking over the beat supposedly produced by Carti himself. After Carti revealed last week that a full Uzi x Carti tape is in the works, this could be a teaser for that. Check the clip out below.
