Premiere: Havana Seoul – Peso Negro Ft. Kam Dela [Video]

Consider Havana as one of the most “Seoulful” up-and-coming artist we have premiered on Daily Chiefers. She hails from the West Coast, but considers the DMV her home having spent most of her life in the DC Metropolitan area. Following the release of her Vigilante EP, Havana returns with a new single and accompanying music video for a Saint James produced track entitled, “Peso Negro.” Towards the end of the cut we are treated to some dope vocals from singer/producer Kam Dela Coopsta VII of DEF Bananas.

In the Alima Films produced visual we see Havana portrayed as herself, but also as a fugitive who is executed for what we can assume to be, executing her own right to free speech. Havana is very consistent in proving that music is political because it is an expression of not only yourself, but your environment. Her sound is very refreshing and speaks to some of the controversial matters that our society is currently grappling with. Havana spits, “hope justice don’t take a rain check.” Watch the captivating visual above!
