I took mushrooms a couple of days ago, and in the midst of all my revelations and epiphanies, I listened to a random submission I got from a man I didn’t know. The email had no subject, and simply read as follows:
“My own, copyrighted song. Please let me know what you think…..I need more exposure lol”
Normally, these are artists that probably aren’t worth a listen, but I spun it anyways—and BOY, am I glad I did. It turned out to be Kwamé Boakye, an ultra-talented singer and songwriter. I’m still learning more about him and his personal life, but I do know he barely has any music out right now and is very talented.
This track “Remember My Name” that we’re premiering today is a great showing of his polished skills as a singer, as he laces this joint with some silky melodies and a mega catchy hook, as well as some knockout lyrics.
