We have been covering the rise of SickSadWorld since the beginning, with Vela Seff, Tombo, and Nancy leading an eclectic new wave out of the midwest, and it seems like more music lovers are starting to catch on, including fellow Chicagoan, Chance The Rapper, who just thanked the collective on Twitter for their recently released track, “Pisces”. That was only the beginning of this hectic day for Vela Seff, who recently dropped a Trapstelo directed video for his Luke Almighty produced hit, “Blunt2MyLips,” earlier and is now premiering his new EP via us this evening. The 5 track project was executive produced and engineered by Milwaukee based SickSadWorld collaborator, Tombo, with the exception of “Kool”, which was produced by Nancy. Tears On The Fronto features a blend of eerie, atmospheric sounds with hard hitting trap drums placing the project in a distinct lane of it’s own. Vela Seff, who has normally tackled his verses with a traditional rap approach in the past, showcases a new distorted, crooning similar to his vocals on “Pisces”, while still sharpening his Boofmane era qualities. Nancy joins Vela as the sole feature on two tracks, “Oxygem” and “Kool”, once again demonstrating the undeniable SickSadWorld chemistry and solidifying this trio as a collective to watch out for in 2018! Hit play on Tears On The Fronto below, and make sure to follow SickSadWorld on YouTube to stay up with their wavy visual content!
