Toronto has been curating dope artists ever since Drake became the spokesman for mainstream rap. Since that point, underground rappers have been the focal point of that city, patiently waiting for that next wave of super stars to emerge from the underground. Enter Rankie.
After scouring the Internet for new music, I quickly stumbled upon Toronto upstart, Rankie. His flow is incredibly weird, and his production follows suit — I literally cannot stop playing this single, and I’m not mad at all. Anyways, connecting with producer Wldface, Rankie makes his official DC debut with his newest record, “Don’t Worry.” Press play on the record below and let me know what you think of the newcomer from Toronto.
