Retail Marijuana Analysis Yields Rather Interesting Results

After several reports of people becoming “ill” after ingesting marijuana-laced food items in Colorado, the state initiated a state-wide regulation that requires all food products to be tested.

“For us, it always goes back to public safety,” said Lewis Koski, director of Colorado’s Marijuana Enforcement Division. “It’s a necessary next step for us to ensure that the product is what it says it is on the labels.”

Although marijuana consumption has been in effect for several years now, the act of having Marijuana-laced food items tested for potency and purity are relatively new.

According to an analysis from a certified testing lab in Colorado, they pending results are finding that while most of the buds submitted for examination are quite potent, with some being covered in fungus and butane.

The states are now requiring that marijuana for retailing purposes be tested by licensed private labs to analyze the end products to assure total safety. So moral of the story kids, make sure your pot is green and clean and we’ll be all good. Watch below.
