Stones Throw rep Jonwayne took part in Mass Appeal’s ongoing Rhythm Roulette series a couple days ago. While there, he obviously made some slappers.
We took the Stones Throw Records producer/rapper to Poobah Records in Pasadena, CA to pick out three records while blindfolded. He ended up sampling from The Ritchie Family’s “Give Me A Break” and The Stylistics’ “Sun & Soul,” which he considered to be “cheating” because it’s was a given there’d be good shit to use. Nonetheless, the homie crafted two joints back-to-back for your listening pleasure.
