My algorithm is definitely something else. One swipe I could be greeted by a motivational speech by Jameis Winston and the next swipe could be the greatest song that has graced my ears. This is exactly how it went down when I discovered Ronshach and his most recent song “Hot Hot Hot.”
Reminiscent of 2014, Ron is the only artist that I have seen successfully take inspiration and execute accordingly, especially from the likes of Young Thug. Flowing on a production which is also reminiscent of an old school London On Da Track song, Ron’s rough mixed yet catchy vocals shows us that not everything has to be perfect for it to work. While most artists tend to follow one wave or chase another, Ron does an excellent job bringing us a sound that many others just can’t. Ron’s rapid flow mixed with the melodic production blend well together, giving us a track that we won’t forget.
Pronounced Ron-Shack, Ron is no stranger to the limelight, just hitting 10K followers on Instagram. When I discovered him just a week ago, he roughly had 4K followers. The wave he is creating is exactly what I needed for a nostalgia trip, reminding me of the roots when I was getting into the hip-hop scene and the discovery of Young Thug.
