Saba has given us a visual for two brand new singles. “Ziplock” examines his come-up and the sacrifices made to be standing where he is today. Saba flows like water on his record with heartfelt lyricism and humble boasts. However, this track feels like it could fit on Care For Me, not a bad thing, but stylistically, it is very similar.
On the other hand, “Rich Don’t Stop” is an evolution of Saba’s creative direction. This is an upbeat record where we get slightly auto-tuned vocals to open the track. That diverges into some of his most feverous verses. The precision of the flows on this is track is fantastic, and I swear Saba is the best rapper out! The music video takes place on a roof with colorful blocks scattered on the ground. We get to see how the sun changes position in the same location as the song progress. The video concept is simple yet aesthetically satisfying. Make sure to check out this GOAT below!
