Edmonton’s very own Shyler has been on a tear lately with a string of singles releases the last few months, but now returns during quarantine to give us his first official music video since dropping “Exhausted” last year. Well worth the wait and furthering his enigmatic and visceral aesthetic, this time we find the fittingly masked Shyler performing in isolation, moving between a barrage of introspective bars and a relatable, melodic hook on “MadHouse“. Tapping into thoughts we are all having as we mentally move through this pandemic, but also the timeless internal struggle of relationship woes, the Jim Duggin directed visual is a reminder that the creative energy doesn’t stop just because no one can be in the crowd right now.
