My homie Sir E.U has been spending mad time in the hyperbolic time chamber since his last project EBUKU released last Fall, and it definitely shows on his newest album We Back. It’s the shortest project E.U’s dropped in recent memory, yet is some of his most potent work to date.
His zany, off-the-wall style seems a bit more reigned in this time; the tracks seem more constructed and purposeful, though still hold that welcoming eccentricity that many have come to know and love in his music. E.U is polished as ever on We Back, giving it a definitive feel that’s set by his intense, almost condemning tone on a few of the tracks. He largely ditches his usually-playful lyrics for intricately woven, wisdom-wrapped verses and frantic hooks that all blend together for another memorable project from King Hippo.
