Sony has already left Soundcloud as of recent due to their lack of monetization, even pulling all of their artists music off it. Now, all of a sudden, they’re going after TIDAL.
After contract negotiations halted, Sony released a statement revealing that they will remove her music if the situation doesn’t get resolved soon. According to Bloomberg, Sony is demanding a large sum of money from TIDAL due to her feature on the platform w/o working out the details in advance.
Sony also owns RCA, Epic Records and Columbia, which means artists like J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Alicia Keys could also be snagged from the streaming service.
