It’s more frequent than not that producers will release their own projects with known names, showcasing their ability to recruit artists to display their talents on their unique productions. With that being said, Sossa, a well known producer in the underground who has produced for artists such as 10KDUNKIN, Diego Money, and Chxpo just to name a few, has recently released a 14-track album titled SOSSA WORLD 2. This album arrives as a sequel to the successful SOSSA WORLD 1, which has garnered over 125,000 streams on Soundcloud alone since it was released in early 2022.

Sossa spoils us with SOSSA WORLD 2, recruiting SLIME DOLLAZ, Lawsy, Texako, and Slimesito to name a few. Sossa does an excellent job bringing his own twist to pluggnb to the table, capturing the nostalgic sounds from 2016-2018.

Introducing this project is a name I haven’t heard in a while which is SLIME DOLLAZ, who executes the track POPPIN from start to finish with his trademarked flow and unique voice. To add on top of that, the hook is extremely catchy. I’m glad to know that SLIME DOLLAZ is still doing his thing.

Following POPPIN is a song that I personally am a huge fan of which is titled FAMOUS with Lawsy. Lawsy has been one of my favorite artists to watch this last year, pioneering the sound known as sexnb which is his own unique take on the notorious pluggnb. This collaboration between Sossa and Lawsy is something I didn’t know I needed until now, captivating a catchy chorus and much more.

A song I want to highlight is TALK, which is complemented by BOOFPAXKMOOKY and his angelic flow. The production is heavenly to the point where you would think that MOOKY’s flow is integrated into it. This song is perfect if you just want to go for a late night drive and enjoy the breeze.

Although this is one of my first times listening to Sossa’s music, I am impressed with the quality of production from start to finish, ascending the listener to another dimension and creating an album that is memorable.
