Mere Raj has recently come across my radar with his new single “Touch”. This has been shared with me a handful of times and with each listen, I enjoy this record more. A heartbreak anthem that will hit you in your feels, but you can’t turn it off because the hook is that catchy.
Mere grapples with a relationship on the rocks and fights against the lost feelings for his lover. The toxic relationship he describes in this track seems to be pushing him to his limit. The driving bass easily matches the manic energy of his flows and lyricism. Mere Raj self-produced this track, showing how impressive his artistry can be. The intricacies of the lead guitar help elevate the earworm qualities of the record. This is one of my favorite finds of 2021 and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
