Looking for a slapper coming out of Kansas that doesn’t resort to cliche bars and simplistic hooks? That is a pretty specific order, but yet we got what you need. The man Stik Figa dropped this one on us as a New Years present, and the gift that keeps giving with each spin is a progressive sounding track for the typically funk-inclined emcee. The at times electronically charged beat isn’t the only step outside the norm on this track. Stik himself delivers a double timed flow that combines as many multi-syllable punches that can fit into the down beat sequence. JL enters the lyrical fray for the second verse and drops machine gun end rhymes that take the track to the next level. Although not attached to any specific upcoming project, this cut is a taste of what Stik has cooking for 2013.
