My dude Stik Figa is rolling off the release of the critically acclaimed collab opus The City Under The City with elite producer L’Orange, but he is wasting no time moving into the next chapter with a stellar visual for “Tell ‘Em That.” The spring release of his next independently released project Not Quite Himself will be a sequel to the 2012 album “As Himself,” that Stik says will “continue my story and include more life details.” Aggressive bars that effortlessly punch into Kansas City native Leonard DStroy’s minimalist sound effects style utilize written wit, and revolve around what is happening in front of him in his hometown of Topeka, Kansas. Relatable as ever, but coming with a topical confidence and perfected flow only experience can breed, Stik really shines with this contagious hook and well executed song craft. The Barrel Maker visual elevates the cut and should get you excited for the drop next season.
