Pro Era affiliate, Lee Bannon, has finally released his highly-awaited Pattern of Excel album yesterday (Friday, July 10th) through Ninja Tune, but thanks to the Wall Street Journal, we get an early stream of the 15-track album.
If you haven’t heard of Lee, let me enlighten you: He’s produced Joey Bada$$’s “Hilary $wank” and Mick Jenkins’ “Alchemy,” which is the first single off the Chicago emcee’s upcoming project.
“I wanted to show bit of range on this one, to push myself and show fans I can take them to other places than they have come to expect from me,” Bannon told WSJ. “It gives a bright glimpse of the future and has elements of the past in its texture. It felt complete.”
