Tales of Reciprocation

It’s funny how this game works. People love to ask for favors every week and ride our nuts more now that they see the IG going up. Not gonna lie, it’s tainted my love for the game off the strength of people seeing us an opportunity. Yes in the grand scheme of media pages we’re not even close to the most popping. But the one thing a lot of these pages don’t have is real identity. We’re Daily Chiefers and no one will ever be able to take that away from us. And as the great Veeze would say, “I know if I wasn’t that great, they wouldn’t even be throwin’ shade”. Peep the abundance of great music below.

Kris Stasse – Might Be

Kris is back on our pages with an alternative blending of sounds called “Might Be”. The instrumentation blossoms into something very reminiscent of the Seeing Sounds era of N.E.R.D. And along with Stasse‘s rich tonality, this electric mood carries the worries of your day away. His vocals are just distorted enough to win over your ears after the first listen. Get hip to Kris and all of his talents above my ramblings.

Shore – Pure Souls

Shore has been on Chiefers I think once before, but regardless after this, the people will be paying attention. “Pure Souls” is a powerful street ballad that showcases not only how much pain is in Shore‘s soul, but how talented he is at painting the sky. The melding of rap cadence with R&B is astounding because it’s seamless. Shore is a DMV representative and this video shows that he’s yet another rising star coming out of the tri-state. Do yourself a favor and get hip to bro above.

Cydnee With A C – Confessions Of A Fangirl

This is Cydnee with a C‘s first time on our pages, but with her atmospheric new EP, we have a strange feeling this won’t be the last. “Don’t We Always” interpolates a familiar jam, but cuts like “Jealous” and “Test Me” are the personal favorites. This Atlanta-bred songstress is truly going to make some noise in the game, so don’t be late.

Valid, Stretch Money – Game Film

Detroit’s own Valid and Stretch Money link up for their powerful cut “Game Film”. This one basks in the glory of no frills and poignant punchlines bleeding from the rafters. With a smooth sample to float atop, we hear precise breakdowns of real life. It seems like this duo is a real masterful set of veterans to add to the already illustrious list of talent coming from the city. Get hip to the wave above.

Yung Honcho – Persistent

Yung Honcho was sent by a good friend of mine and is a wide variety of styling. Rich melodies are present from start to finish, but the beat selection accents each one of these wondrous vocals from Honcho. The songwriting is very memorable, and shines brightly on “Creed” and “Intoxicated Thoughts”. Though there isn’t a track that feels out of place or like it doesn’t add to the cohesion of the opus. Honcho is onto something, peep it above.

luvdes – ily

luvdes “ily” is a technicolor, uptempo bop to live with all Summer. Playing off strong kicks that ride in the era of this Jersey Club wave, but still layer vividly behind her vocals. You can hear the passion and pain battling on this one, but it’s the kind of freeing feeling one gets when they really address it. luvdes could string together some solid moves this year, so you’re not gonna wanna miss out on whats next.
