Taxes Are Dumb

Taxes are stupid. If the roads were paved, healthcare was free and the general consensus of the country was positive, then, only then would I maybe be okay with taxes. But instead, we shit away thousands of hard-earned dollars to cowards in power. Just give me my bread back and we’ll be cool, until then it’s on sight.

King Kobi – Norp Season 4

Atlanta’s King Kobi makes his first appearance on our pages with his new project called Norp Season 4. These five cuts represent a rugged, energetic, and authentic wave from the South. The melodic prowess flows from start to finish and basks in the reality of Kobi‘s world. “Binary Trigger” and “Pushin The Issue” are my personal favorites, but this is a great introduction for those who aren’t hip to King Kobi. Tap in above.

La Reezy – Reeborn

La Reezy makes his first appearance on the Chiefers pages with his project Reeborn. This nine-song ep has caused me to ease the stressors of the day and take a moment to really run it back. You can hear both pain and passion in his voice which is only accented by the great production all over this one. There is a variety of genres and styling, but each showcases another side of Reezy. “We Was Just Kids” has the potential to be a huge record, but cuts like “Nola” and “Gotchu” win me over as well. This is a stellar project from a rising name to know, don’t miss it.

Ki Storii And Brianna Knight – Taboo

Another couple of fresh faces on the blog today and they go by the names of Ki Storii and Brianna Knight. This is a fusion of rap and R&B with a big sound to match. The instrumentation feels like an extension of this sound, which I would categorize as lustful music to move to. The highs are vivacious and the mood will only be improved when this comes on. Don’t sleep on “Taboo”.

Palo – Idk How To Be Sober

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNKnMw9Fd98

Palo gifts us the video for “Idk How To Be Sober” and it’s a scary, yet brutally honest look into our protagonist’s world. He isn’t afraid to show us the bottom of his days and the vulnerability makes for a better chance of connecting with the audience. The battles mentally, and physically, with the law and all that is around him show the world a dark reminder that people deal with this every day. Palo went out of his way to make sure his story was told with no holding back. Give this a chance, you might learn something about yourself.
