While Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly album continues to eat numbers, some of the collaborators on the production front have linked up to chop it up about making of the album. In the mini clip, Terrace Martin (who is a personal favorite), Tae Beast, Sounwave and Ali talk about how much Kendrick’s trip to Africa changed the entire LP — all noting  how different he was when he came traveled back to the states.

They also broke down multiple tracks, stating the original “King Kunta” was deemed way too jazzy for Kendrick’s taste, making the super producers flip the entire beat. It’s actually rather interesting. Peep below.
