Grammy week is over, we can all return to our everyday lives. No need for the 30 bathroom selfies, we get it you’re drunk right now. More pressing matters are at hand and there quite literally hanging over us. That Chinese spy balloon was definitely filled with spinach and artichoke dip. No spy software or cameras, just delicious caramelized cheese. I’m worried about collecting all of the debris scattered across our nation. But now that’s out of the way, let’s move on to the music.
Kwad Featuring Bizzy Banks – Rich Ooter
Kwad and Bizzy link up for their heater called “Rich Ooter” and it’s as insane as it sounds. Free Kwad first and foremost, but this seems to be a wild duo to see blossom. The visuals are pretty run-and-gun, but neither of these guys needs frills regarding their sounds. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the flood from Kwad, but from VA to NYC, “Rich Ooter” will always ring loudly.
Picture Us Tiny – Jackson, You Are Dying
Picture Us Tiny was sent to me by a friend and man am I glad they did so. The original and the acoustic variation of “Jackson, You Are Dying” takes me back to an earlier time when it comes to music. Specifically, right after the turn of the millennium, singers perfected this timeless tone. Picture Us Tiny captivates and entrances the ear from start to finish. Get hip to their waves above.
Kris Stasses, TWill – Rolling Stone
Kris is back on our pages with his rowdy new cut “Rolling Stone” produced by TWill. This one is beautiful chaos to say the very least. Painted with distortion and billowing bass, Kris stays calm and collected in his pocket. The balance of his vocals pairs so well with the beat, we are taken to another place that radiates a carefree mood. “Rolling Stone” is one to keep in that rotation, tap in.
Cee – Old Me
Cee was on our pages a few months back and it’s no surprise she’s making another appearance. “Old Me” is a wondrous reflection of learning from life and turning a new leaf as the days go by. Though this isn’t to say that it doesn’t come with flare and a boisterous attitude, Cee won’t back down for anyone. She knows she’s on the way to being a solidified name in the game. “Old Me” is a heavy, peep it above.
Bucky Malone – Juice, No Gin
Bucky and WifiGawd are a duo of wildly creative proportion, but they reside in the underground realm. Do we think either of them has an issue with this? No, because of the fact they are making the music they want to make. There’s no battery in the back forcing them to make what the machine fiends for. Instead “Juice, No Gin” is sporadically free and basks in the usual glory Bucky brings to the table. WifiGawd is a legend for this one too, peep it all above.
Keyomani – If You Need Me
Keyomani is a gentler set of sounds than the usual we put on our pages, but this one was just that good to the point we had to show some love. “If U Need Me” stuns and leaves the listener in awe with the sound of his voice. A subtle, yet passionate ode to a loved one chasing that moment of clarity and peace. Keyomani is on the way to being a name to know, get hip above.
