At the end of 2015, the Gorillaz — which features vocals by Damon Albarn and illustrations by Jamie Hewlett — announced that they were working on a new album, which was supposed to release in 2016. Although it looks like that won’t be happening, it does look like the new album is still on the horizon — dropping sometime in 2017.
After much-anticipation, the Gorillaz fan page on Instagram revealed that they talked to Hewlett about the forthcoming album, saying it was “special” and that it would drop sometime in 2017. No word on the next single release, but we’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned!
