It’s no question that guitar loops have quickly become a staple of Internet Money‘s sound. With global hits like “Lemonade” that employ this artistic approach, the IM camp knows exactly what it takes to make a hit and their A&Rs are incredibly consistent. In fact, Josh Hall, one of Internet Money‘s newest A&Rs, recently picked up the Hyattsville native, Memoria XI, adding to his own personal roster of early risers.
Memoria XI definitely fits the ticket for an Internet Money co-sign, though it is still technically independent working directly under Josh. His most recent offering, “Never Let Go,” is the perfect fusion of styles made great by Juice WRLD and XXXTentacion. Starting off slow with that classic guitar loop, Memoria XI quickly switches gears when the trap beat comes into play, allowing him to flow melodically over the guitar while remaining upbeat and energetic throughout. Surprisingly enough, the confidence he portrays on the track didn’t always exist for him.
I was just some skinny kid with glasses, no one expected me to do this, but I was self-motivated.
Looking towards legends like XXXTentacion and Post Malone for guidance inspired him to push past how his peers perceived him and to stay true to the one opinion that truly mattered; his own. By staying true to himself and away from all the fakes, Memoria XI is moving quickly towards stardom.
