He describes his city and gives it the props that are often overlooked in hip-hop history, and uses those facts as empowerment for his own ascension to the forefront of East Coast rap. Backie Thomas takes directorial credits and does a solid job of location scouting to provide XO the perfect place to accent his word-driven imagery. If this is any indication of what to expect from the new album then things are looking up for XO.
