As you probably know by now, in a recent interview with TIME magazine, Vince Staples said exactly what I’ve been saying for years — 90’s hip-hip isn’t shit compared to the fuckin’ gold that’s coming out these days, and I’m not talking about the mainstream bullshit.
The Long Beach, California rapper stirred things up on the Internet with a couple bold statements, like: “The ’90s get a lot of credit, I don’t really know why,” “There’s not a 50 Cent in the ’90s, they didn’t even have a Kanye,” and much more — most to which I tend to agree with, but I’ll let you be the judge of that.
