“Last Week” is a record that is larger than life. It’s not often you hear a song that has the potential to be a billboard hit. That being the case, Blayne B. hit a home run with his new single and this record goes! Blayne’s vocals have similar emo rock aesthetics reminiscent of Juice WRLD but re-contextualizes it for the radio-friendly record. Capitalizing on the rising popularity of Hyperpop, Blayne maneuvers on the heavy bass as if it were an average pop ballad.

My favorite part of the track is the sweeping hook! It is so grandiose, and the layering kicks ass, giving it a vibrant and full feeling. Not to mention his songwriting makes the story he’s telling feel intimate and personal. This is an excellent record, and it will turn heads in the upcoming weeks. Check it out below!!!!
