So I wrote the first draft of this and it came off as super pompous and I wanted to make a change. The ego is the enemy of the common man and it’s an obstacle that we all need to strive to alleviate. If you aren’t holding yourself accountable to get better, you’re not only wasting your talent but you’re wasting your potential. In an arena full of able-bodied and minded competitors, we lose sight of what our true purpose is in life. Mine is to help others realize their greatness and work to take them to the next level. I take that pay it forward shit mad seriously, so if I ever showed love, just know it was genuine. The world keeps moving and we lose precious moments with every passing minute. So you should understand your value and aim for the top. Now with that being said, I can’t believe some of you are still supporting these bums. They’re thieves of joy and don’t deserve the opportunities that arise, and if the shoe fits, wear it mate. This one is called, You’re Still With That Bum? Damn, That’s Crazy.

Doeman – “Brown Soul”

Doeman‘s newest project Brown Soul is some of Texas’ finest styling all while repping his culture through and through. In just ten cuts we hear Doe flip classic cadences on their head atop soulful chops. “ATL Freestyle” is a wavy offering brimming with confidence from start to finish. With other cuts like “Higher” and “Soul Different” featuring Southside Hoodlum, it’s truly no surprise that this man is making some stellar noise. It’s also refreshing to hear some solid raps in a world of melodic monotony. Doeman is on some shit, tap into this one above.

BbyTerra Featuring Jaxx – “RIGHT BACK!”

Two of Arizona’s rising stars, Bbyterra and Jaxx drop off an electric collaboration called “Right Back!”. We hadn’t heard a lot of music from Terra for a minute, but Jaxx is coming off of some solid cuts. This one was produced by dxwork and allows both of these bros to handle their business in a wondrous manner. The melodies are incredibly approachable and easy to digest. This is another example of a couple of artists who are incredibly close to breaking through the barriers of the mainstream. Hopefully, more work is on the way from these two, but until the next peep the gas above.

Daniel Hex – “Look Ma, No Hands!”

Daniel Hex is legitimately one of the best rising R&B sensations in this current realm of music. His newest effort “Look Ma, No Hands!” plays off a colorful title, but really moves the soul when it all comes together. Hex already gifted us “Sideways” one of my favorite releases yet and brings it all back around again. His tone is so unique and gently tip-toes atop varietals of production. It’s truly mind-blowing that there isn’t more hype around this kid, but the talent outweighs the potential of not living up to that standard. Daniel meets every mark as an artist who will build a stellar community of fans and cement his legacy in music. I’m not wrong about these things so peep this gas above.

SoloSam Featuring S-O-S – “Tree”

SoloSam is a magnificent artist who makes giant strides with every release he unveils. It’s gotten to the point where all that is missing is just a little extra push, and this guy is going to make some plays in the next few months. His ability to connect with his fans is so important because he curates a relatable charm in his art. People see themselves finding joy in Sam‘s music and “Tree” featuring S-O-S is a great place to start at. Principles To Die By is on the way on October 8th, and this will change the setting of things. I can promise you that this is a special set of sounds, get prepared above.

Maye Star – “Less Is More/Spin Da Block”

Maye Star got RT’d on to my timeline and I’m glad I tapped in. This double feature video for “Less Is More/Spin Da Block” is a beautiful dichotomy between his styling. This is another reason why Massachusetts needs more recognition from the music side of things. Maye starts things off with a few soulful bars then switches to a drill-inspired flip skated on by himself and Slicc Bae. Not only is the music nearly flawless, but the fact that Maye directed these frames himself (Shot and edited by Zach Johnson) is quite impressive. We make sure that these sounds don’t slip through the cracks because this one right here is scary good.
