1.5 or No Way is Atlanta rapper Yung Mal‘s second album solely under Alamo Records. After leaving Gucci Mane‘s 1017 label, many may have thought that Mal’s career was on the decline. However, this new project showcases quite the opposite. The 17-track project is chock full of ear-worms, summer street anthems, and even some tracks that see Mal experimenting with his sound.
Songs like “Stay Down”, “Walkin” featuring Pooh Shiesty, and “BIG1.5” with BIG30 are sure to be banging out of everyone’s car speakers and in every club across the country in no time. However, keep an eye out for “Woo” featuring frequent collaborator Lil Quill.
Appearing as the fourth cut on the album, “Woo” features easily the most dynamic instrumental on the project. Its booming 808s and money counter beeps pair perfectly with Mal and Quill‘s animated ad-libs and rapid-fire flows.
All in all, 1.5 or No Way displays Mal owning his sound and giving his fans a mixture of what they’ve always loved about him and his ability to embrace new styles and collaborators. Check out 1.5 or No Way now on all platforms!
