Virginia’s 1Pump is an eclectic artist to say the least, and it’s landed him on the Chiefers’ pages a few times now. Today he’s back again with a surprise 14-track mixtape filled front to back with nothing but goodies (and these just might get you high, too). Titled HiM, the latest record is a follow-up to his recent studio album Scott Summers II: The Light Within that really does well to show Pump‘s extensive range.
From the boom-bap rap happy vibes of “Alright” to melodic crooning on “Stuck In My Ways” and rage-filled deliveries on “Vi$as”, this project really has a little bit of something for everybody. It’s no wonder the kid with the cyclops shades rocked the crowd at our sold out Smoke on the Water event in Richmond a few weeks ago. Time to wake up and get hip to HiM!
