From a classically-trained pianist to rising pop star, lilspirit finds his lane within music on his latest project, american spirit. Geno Gitas, better known under as lilspirit, is Internet Money‘s latest signee and has ambitions to become the next big pop star.
Writing multiple songs a day, the famously blue-haired singer and 10k Projects artist, under the direct management of Conor Ambrose, proves that he has what it takes to stick around in this industry with his debut album, american spirit. Featuring his breakout hit single, “droptopbitch,” which currently sits at 8.5+ million streams on Soundcloud, american spirit is a testament to lilspirit‘s importance as one of this generation’s special faces in Pop and R&B.
After having a chance to sit down with Geno, (well, virtually, ’cause you know, COVID-19) I was blessed with the opportunity to chat with him about the album, gathering a ton of unique details about his story coming up in music, how he got his iconic blue hair, how he narrowed down american spirit from 120 to 13 tracks, and much more. Check out the interview with lilspirit down below, and stay tuned for more from the talented singer/songwriter.
