As we all come to know, the lyrical ability of Navy Blue can often be unmatched by most. On “Primo”, we get more of an exhibition of intense rhyme schemes and thesauruses like vocabulary. Navy comes across as pensive and struggling to stay focused and or on task. He briefly discusses moving over family issues and thoughts he has about being a son. It’s honestly highly poetic, something that would come from Maya Angelou.
What takes me back is the Godfred Sedano-directed music video. The shots are stunning and feel movie-esq. My favorite shots have to be when Navy is reading his bike in the rain at night. It captures a beautiful feeling is a fantastic visual component for the record. I highly suggest you check this out!
