Fort Valley, Georgia is not really known for their outlandish music scene but in the eyes of Chino Cappin, he’s going to make it known. Chino, a very versatile artist, can move from raps to singing in one effortless motion, making him one of my favorite artists in the game right now. And his recent project Permanently Scarred is the perfect example of that.
Right off the bat in his intro record, “Been A Minute,” Cap sets the mood perfectly with a funky-inspired record about his mood at the time of recording this album. Cap is honest. Cap is vulnerable. It honestly makes me feel a connection with him and his journey immediately, and the rest of the project follows suit. If you’re looking for some R&B vibes, then look no further.
