Yeat has been on an insane hot streak lately and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to cool off anytime soon. The 22 year old rapper found his way into the spotlight in 2021 with the release of his debut studio album Up 2 Më which consisted of hit tracks such as “Gët Busy”, “Trëndy Way”, and “Monëy so Big”.
Yeat dove right into 2022 with the release of his newest studio album 2 Alivë which hit number 6 on the US Billboard top 200. Now, Yeat is continuing his momentum with the release of his new visual for the opening track off of 2 Alivë titled “Poppin”. The video is a mix of flying exotic cars, turban-clad twizzys, and Yeat turning up with long-time collaborator and friend SeptembersRich. Cole Bennett comes on as director and editor and creates a masterpiece that is both visually enticing and still stays true to Yeat‘s artistry and persona.
The biggest surprise happens at the 1:56 mark, when the track switches from “Poppin” to “Taliban”. Yeat and Cole Bennett team up to give us an insanely sick 2-in-1 package. The vibrant visuals and swift camera-work blend perfectly to create a smooth transition between the two tracks.
