Arkansas sports a bubbling scene of artists led by the likes of YTB Fatt, Mudbaby Ru, and Selfpaid Savage. Fatt commands the “motion music” lane and Mudbaby Ru delivers a breakneck iteration of southern trap. However, I’m not entirely sure what to make of Selfpaid Savage.
The Helena, AR native’s wild mix of flows feels almost like he’s trying to fit a family’s worth of clothes into one suitcase. However, with recent co-signs from Rob49, Moneybagg Yo, and Big Boogie, Savage is starting to climb the ranks in Arkansas Hip-Hop.
“Bottom Of The Trenches” sees Savage delivering emphatic bars about getting crossed by former friends and serves as a platform for him to vent about being wronged in the past. Check out “Bottom Of The Trenches” below.
