Coming out of a time of immense growth, Ché is finally delivering only his second studio recording in two years with his latest single, “APRIL 16TH.” Coming on the two year anniversary of his debut mixtape Ghost Log Cabin, “APRIL 16TH” is a vulnerable look into himself as well as an optimistic look to the future. With a quiet two years, Ché touches on his experience navigating the music industry at a young age, past relationships, time pursuing education, and more. A refreshingly honest dialog, “APRIL 16TH” is one of my favorite tracks of the year thus far.

Displaying his dynamic range of talents, Ché offers a soulful intro with his impressive vocal performance, then proceeds to offer the seamless flow and clever lyricism we’ve seen in past tracks. Ché’s performance is the perfect pairing for the dense arrangement done on the production side boasting horns, a classic drum kit, snaps, and the soothing synth loop tying it all together. Make sure to check out “APRIL 16TH” below.
