The Sixtape 2 is easily one of my favorite projects of the year. Bino Rideaux and Blxst have been making hits for years, and this project is the antithesis of it! The juxtaposition of Blxst’s smooth R&B vocal lines and Bino Rideaux’s raspier autotune crooning is a match made in heaven. I love that the production on the whole project giving the LA old-school vibe in the context of 2021.
My favorite records from the project are “Movie”, “Pop Out”, and “She Perfect”. I know I’ll be bumping this project up for the rest of the summer. I have a feeling I’m not the only one thinking this highly of the project. I’m going to need more collaborations between these two soon.
