Cash Cobain is having a successful 2022, and he has shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Cruising on this momentum he’s built over the last two years, the don of “sample drill” is back with new music, 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy (Deluxe), in collaboration with the talented Chow Lee. The ten additional tracks brought to the original 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy include “Watergun,” which features New Jersey artist Bandmanrill and has an instrumental that cleverly samples DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One.”
The production of this project is impeccable, and these new tracks continue to support that statement. Both Chow and Cash Cobain’s versatility as recording artists is another takeaway from this body of work. Their knack for making music intriguing to all regions while staying true to New York drill roots is astounding. There’s an outstanding balance of different tempos that fit different moods, and that will help prevent this project from going stale.
With co-signs from stars such as Frank Ocean, who used his track “JHOLIDAY” for the new Homer Ad, and Drake, who featured him on OVO Sound Radio. Cobain’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed.
