And this beat from cash, not from YouTube!! Cash Cobain is an emerging rapper/producer from Bronx, NY. The self-proclaimed “Sample God” has some of the best beat flips in the game, utilizing sound bytes from classic tracks over NY drill production. Cash’s latest visual effort comes from his “Nirvana” album that was released in early August of this year.
“Boi” is an infectiously good song that features a sample from Cam‘ron and Juelz Santana’s classic 03’ single “Oh Boy”. The original beat is stretched and slowed with hard-hitting 808’s. The quick hi-hats and snaps give the beat energy while also complimenting Cash’s smooth, autotune layered, and confident flow.
TYSNAPZ, a120cal, and tonijclaude did all of the visual work for the song and they did not disappoint. The video consists of quick cuts to Cash and his boys or dancing women, accompanied by a few VHS-style shots. There is even a cameo from Dababy flashing his infamous diamond-encrusted “Billion Dollar Baby“ pendant while hanging out with Cash in his Crew on a seemingly genuine level.
