New York rapper Chow Lee delivers the deluxe edition to his project Sue Me with features from Cash Cobain, 2219 Lee, and Lonny Love, among others. With catchy, and often humorous lyrics, and trademark NYC Drill Pop and R&B samples, nearly every song on this project is primed for TikTok virality.
However, as fun-filled as this project is, Lee still makes sure to show off the serious talent that lives on past the gimmicky nature of drill as a genre. On tracks like “WIG” and “IM ON BODY”, Lee works with the tracks’ samples to make the hooks into ear-worms and follows these choruses with verses that pack a punch. My personal favorite track off of the 11-track effort is “VIBEY” which offers glittery production and an R&B tinged mutation of Drill that suggests a new path for Drill to go down.
