Cleveland’s Ezri drops off another serious set of visuals for his “Bald Freestyle.” In these frames directed by Fakedell and Ezri himself, we see the harsh reality of growing up in the 216. What connects with the viewer is his stellar cadence and awe-inspiring punchlines. Don’t get it twisted, just because you’ve seen Ezri on Empire don’t think that he’s some sold-out gimmick. This guy truly cares about his art and you can hear that hunger in his voice. Under the Mass Appeal imprint, it seems as if this is a solid fit for Ezri’s sound.
