Over this past weekend, Chiefer Josh and I headed out to Tampa, Florida to see the amazing duo that is Curren$y and Wiz, perform together. Obviously, just seeing those two would of been enough, but this show was jam packed with dope artists. Case Arnold, a heavy DC favorite was the opener for the concert and that’s fuckin’ saying something. Case is plastered all over the internet, being featured on top websites like DJ Booth, hnhh, MaskedGorilla, and much more, showcasing just how the dope the show really was.
After Case performed (which he fuckin’ killed by the way), the concert really started to get slappy with following artists DJ Drama, Caskey, Bizzy Crook, and PARTYNEXTDOOR all taking the stage in proceeding order. During intermission, we decided to meet up with the homie Case Arnold for a rather interesting interview — y’all bitches better be ready.
After chopping it up with Case for a few minutes, we decided to head back to the press area where we proceeded to check out the homie Bizzy crook, not before I got the chance to pet Wiz’s amazing dog Vincent. I’m serious, that pup was literally everywhere and had it’s own personal body guard. I gave the pup a nice pet, and then we were on our way.
After playing “No Hard Feelings” and “The Come Up,” Bizzy showed love to the crowd, and it was PND’s time to perform. I’m not the biggest PND fan, so I’ll be honest with ya I took this time to scour the lands for fire nug and something to drink — cause that bitch was HOT.
Next up was my personal favorite Curren$y, who ended playing pretty much one song from each of his amazing LP’s. “Michael Knight” was an obvious fan favorite, along with a few tracks from his most recent Drive In Theatre project. One thing I loved about Spittas set — in case you didn’t know I haven’t seen him live before then; one of the few artists that I’ve yet to see live — was how interactive he gets with the crowd. It’s almost like you get to hear a Comedy act as well as a dope rap concert.
Last but not least, was the Wiz Khlifa performance. By this time I’m soo geeked off my G-Pen, I don’t even realize we’re in Tampa. Coming out to “Sleezy,” Wiz performed songs that we’re from his most recent projects, Blacc Hollywood & 28 Grams, which sucked because I really wanted to see some How Fly attention. From 28 Grams, Wizzle man played my favorite “Foregin,” “Something Special,” “How To Be Real,” and much more; probably 8 tracks overall. All in all, it was an amazing show and we have to give the folks over at WRLD ENT a big special thanks, and another thank you to all the artist that we’re cool enough to chop it with us. If you want to experience this live, just follow “DailyChiefers” on SnapChat where we do live streaming of all the events, Trust me, this is a fan favorite.
As always, make sure you roll something nice and stay tuned for our exclusive interview with the big homie Case Arnold.
Love, Joey.
