Florida has been a hotbed of talent for the past 20 years and well beyond that. They progressively pushed forward the energy and carry the state’s pride on their back. Dee Watkins is one of the newest rising stars coming out of the Sunshine state and with his new project Chosen One, we hear why he always needs to be a part of the conversation.
Across all twelve of these vivacious cuts, Watkins add his southern zest to brimming production. “Who Is You” is rugged and unforgiving, urging the listener to ride with Dee‘s braggadocios bars. “Goin Broke” has the potential to be a huge smash because of the bounce the production creates. Dee floats across these drums effortlessly gifting us an incredibly catchy cadence.
Atop all of this we have the “Bad Ass Jit Remix” featuring Young Dolph, which only adds to the strength of this strong collection of cuts. Watkins comes from the South, but has an ear from West coast inspired instrumentation. You have to applaud his efforts and talents for not limiting his demographic.
