Well, the first week sales numbers are in for Dr. Dre’s Compton: The Soundtrack. And it’s right where we expected. This week, the album moved 278,558 units, slightly surpassing the projected number of 260,000-275,000 units.

Although the album recieved high praise, Compton logged in at #2 on the Billboard charts, slightly behind Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights, which recieved 320,000 sales in its first week. Future’s DS2 moved 15 thousand units in its fourth week on the charts, with Lil Dicky’s moving close to 25,000 units.

In case you forgot, Drakes’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late moved closed to 500,000 in its first week, with Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly moving 320,000 — aka this album was a huge success. You go, Dre.
