If you’re not hip to Dylvinci, you’re sleeping on one of the underground’s best producers. He’s produced songs like Yung Bans’ cult classic “Eye 2 Eye” as well as having songs with Kashdami, D Savage, Xlovclo, Real Yung Phil, and many others. However, this project sees the young producer accenting his spacey beats with vocal touches that span across several styles within the genre.
On “Experiment”, for example, Dylvinci tries on a Pierre Bourne delivery where he croons about not being satisfied with his life on earth preferring to venture out into the stars. Then on “Open Up Your Mind/Signs”, Dyl goes the KAYTRANADA route with house drums and vocals that are closer to alt-r&b.
What I really like about this project is that the space theme almost serves as a metaphor for a galaxy filled with all sorts of musical styles while staying within the cosmic picture that he paints. Check out the tape below!
